Goldendoodle Puppies in Georgia

Goldendoodle Puppies in Georgia

Georgia families looking for a well-bred Goldendoodle have plenty of breeders to consider — but finding one that combines genuine health testing, home-raised puppies, three decades of experience, and a guarantee worth having takes real research. Strong Oaks has been placing puppies with Georgia families for years, and the drive from North Georgia is shorter than most people expect.

Where We Are and How Far We Are From You

Strong Oaks Goldendoodles is located in Morganton, NC — in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Charlotte and Asheville. For Georgia families, the distance varies significantly by location:

Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and the North Georgia Mountains — about 1.5 to 2 hours north on US-76 and US-64. North Georgia families are practically neighbors and we place puppies there regularly.

Gainesville and the Lake Lanier area — about 2 hours north on I-985 and US-441. An easy drive for one of the most active dog-loving communities in the state.

Atlanta and the Metro area — about 2.5 to 3 hours north on I-985 or I-75 to I-26. Atlanta families make this drive regularly, and many combine the pickup with a weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Chattanooga sits right between Atlanta and Morganton — Georgia families coming from the northwest part of the state often pass through on the way up.

Macon and Central Georgia — about 3.5 hours. A longer drive that central Georgia families make because the quality they find at Strong Oaks is not available closer to home at the same level.

Savannah and Coastal Georgia — about 5 hours, typically handled with the help of flight nannies or transport options we work with regularly.

Why Georgia Families Choose Strong Oaks

Georgia is a big state with a wide range of breeders — from exceptional to irresponsible. Georgia families who find us through research consistently tell us the same thing: they did their homework, they asked the right questions, and Strong Oaks checked every box.

Both of our parent dogs are DNA tested through Embark before any breeding takes place — screening for over 250 genetic health conditions. Those results are publicly available. We want every Georgia family to review them before they apply. Meet our parent dogs on our Our Dogs page.

Our puppies are born inside our home for the first five weeks of their lives — surrounded by the sounds and activity of real family life, handled daily, and raised with intentional early stimulation. We follow a structured ENS and early socialization protocol from the very first days of life that produces puppies that are noticeably more confident and adaptable than those raised in isolation. At five weeks they move to our dedicated puppy building where a doggie door leads outside and they begin learning to go potty on their own.

Every puppy we place comes with a 5-year health guarantee covering crippling hip and elbow dysplasia, pathological spinal disorders, and life-threatening genetic defects. That is one of the strongest guarantees offered by any Goldendoodle breeder serving Georgia, and we have stood behind it for over 30 years.

The Goldendoodles We Raise

We breed F1, F1B, and F1BB Standard Goldendoodles — typically 50 to 80 pounds as adults. Georgia’s climate and lifestyle — warm weather, outdoor living, active families — suits the Standard Goldendoodle extremely well. These are athletic, water-loving, outdoor-ready dogs that thrive in the kind of active family environments common across Georgia.

Not sure which generation is right for your family? Our complete guide to Goldendoodle generations explains the differences in coat, shedding, and allergy compatibility clearly. You can also read about Goldendoodle coat types, temperament, and how big Standard Goldendoodles get in our Goldendoodle Resources library.

Goldendoodles are exceptional with children — patient, gentle, and deeply bonded to the families they join. Our Breed Information page covers everything Georgia families need to understand about the breed before they commit.

What Does a Goldendoodle Cost?

Georgia families often encounter a wide price range when researching Goldendoodles. Our honest breakdown of what a Goldendoodle costs and why explains exactly what drives that range — and what you are paying for when you choose a responsible breeder over a cheaper alternative.

Choosing the Right Breeder

Our guide on what to look for in a Goldendoodle breeder gives Georgia families 10 specific questions to ask before committing to anyone. An informed family always makes better decisions.

You Come to Us and Choose Your Puppy

When a litter is ready, Georgia families come to Morganton to meet the puppies in person. We share our observations about temperament and personality and help guide your decision — but the choice is always yours. North Georgia, Gainesville, and Atlanta families typically find the drive very manageable. For families who cannot make the trip, we work with trusted flight nannies and transport options to get puppies home safely.

Support After Your Puppy Comes Home

Joe has been working with dogs professionally since 1992 and that experience is available to every Georgia family we work with — by phone, for the life of their dog. Our Goldendoodle Resources library covers everything from grooming and training to the first week home and ENS and early socialization.

Other Areas We Serve

In addition to Georgia, we regularly place puppies with families in North Carolina, Charlotte, Asheville, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.
